Did you even guess and then attempt to research it?

Better pics , close up of cleaned pan surface would help.
Wild guess it's a Montgomery.

I think Tpmetal nailed it.

But I do have to ask, What's a Montgomery? Is it anything like a Macguffin?

Yep, it's a small leg hold tap. I ran a trap line in high school. If the plate under the jaws has a v it's a Victor.

It's a number 2 coil spring leg hold. Probably not over 50 years old. Most were double spring before the 1950 or so. Would guess its either a Victor or Duke. Pics of the trigger pan would tell us.
