I think I have a good Idea what it would fell like to find a gold coin at least for about 10 seconds:laughing7:. I went to a house that was built in the 50s just because it was in a old area, found a lot of clad 3 junk rings, one I gave to the son of the place I was detecting. got a iffy signal when I pulled the plug I could see the edge of a gold coin I thought, my heart stop for just a second and I realized the color was off just a bit. Can't wait for the day if it ever happen that it happens for real and that felling can last a little longer:laughing7:. Here are some pics from the last couple of hunts nothing great but had fun.

I've been there several times! It's usually a gilted flat button in great shape that gets me. It is a disappointment but must admit I like the rush even if just for a few seconds.

Out here on the west coast we are always digging up those gold colored Mexican coins. They look just like a gold coin for about 5 seconds, especially after seeing that gold colored edge of the coin first. So I know that feeling!
