What kind of buckle or clasp?

Found in a 1920's yard in Missouri. The buckle is thin copper or brass with no apparent markings, while the oval object is thicker with no markings either. Hard to identify, I know. Could the larger buckle be a Civil War bedroll buckle? Any help would be appreciated.

The two oval pieces are part of a twist catch, such as used on purses, etc. The bigger piece is actually a buckle cover used on harnesses, etc.
