Yep, WWII era. I think some of the silver coins of this era were minted in Denver.

Yes, Philippine coin under US Sovereignty
Looks like a bronze one centavo (24mm) 58m minted.
Coins of 1944 and '45 were minted in Phily, Denver and SFO.
Common coin, but loaded with history.

I did that earlier, no quarter now lol but it was just slightly larger then a quarter

It's called "Occupational coinage". Started I believe circa 1903-ish? Early ones were 80-90% silver. WWII are copper-nickel composition.
