Ok guys so, regardless of karat, not sure how the whole karat scale works exactly, but... Just give me an estimate if these are real diamonds. Sorry for the blur, it's something I can't fix. Need to get to Wal-Mart LOL :P

Can't say for sure. Even if real diamonds jewelers won't give you squat for them and if they are registered even less. They will of course offer to reset them for $$$ and if they are real, you'll most likely get CZ's back. Best suggestion is to give as a gift.

I agree with Sandman! There is no way to tell if they are Diamonds from the pics. Have the stones checked by a Jeweler and if they are real, ask if they are quality and the Carat size. If they are quality and a Carat or more in total weight/size, then it might be worth having the ring appraised by a Jeweler or high-end Jewelry Store, then sell it on eBay. As has been pretty much stated, very few places will give you anything for the Diamonds if you try to sell the ring to them but you can at least get something for the Diamonds as well as the Gold (if it is Gold) if sold on eBay.

Well thanks anyway I was hoping to see something like you guys saying I might get $100 if they're real or $300 or whatever but since you guys can't I guess I got no choice but to just go to a jeweller. Only thing bad about it is the closest one's over 3 miles away, I'm busy with work, no vehicle, my dad has a foot injury and can't drive, just too much stuff in the real world going on sadly. Anyways again thanks for the replies, and happy hunting :P.

I am sure that everyone else like me are sorry that we can't say that the stones are Diamonds! The pics are too blurry and even if they weren't, it would still be a toss-up and identification. If you can get the time, surely there is someone that would take you to a Jeweler to have the ring checked out! In any case, is there any markings on the inside of the ring (i.e. 10k, 14k, 18k or other)? Not always but sometimes, the quality of the metal of the ring, will lead to what the stones are or are not!

Also, if you have a Gem Loupe or decent Magnifying Glass, you can hold it up to the lens of the camera when taking pics and usually get some decent close-up and in-focus pics.

I bought a cheap tester for $12 at amazon. It will pay for itself. Now days silver has diamonds.

i will speak from what I usually find, 10k has chip/small low quality diamonds if those are in 10K Id say CZ's, 14k can range all over with many CZs, its a mid grade metal not considered "fine jewelry" up to 1/2ct diamonds can be of good quality but a 1ct in a 14k will be lower quality. 18k-plat=diamonds of good quality "considered fine jewelry" wont find many CZs. Id guess from the blurry pic its a 2ct total weight. 1ct center stone, 2 .5s. If Diamonds $500-$1500, consider the location of find and how new/shallow.

well thanks for reply :) like many people said the best way to find out is taking it to a jeweller... Buuut... I might just hold off on taking that one and selling it, I think I have something else in mind for it when I am older ;)
