What type of screw is this? Age? What type of metal is it copper or brass? Or something different. In picture 3 if you see its threaded. What was it used for?

Looks to be a lamp shade holder top.

Could also have been for a lantern shade.

It looks like rusted iron, but that could be the patina. See if it sticks to a magnet.
Lamp finial or something like that is a good bet.
