What We Can Learn From Others 2 - Drayton

Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed reading it. I have been out with Gary and he does find amazing things. He deserves all the finds he can make as well as everyone on this site. It is a great hobby and I have only been doing it for about 4 years now. I am so sorry I never picked it up earlier with all my worldly travels. It would have been great. I am off to Aruba for a week this Saturday. I am taking two excal's and i will be using both Gary and Obn's methods. Both have been very good to me. GL and Happy Hunting!

Thank you bigscoop! I will apply this method with my Sovereign GT.

I've 4 of Clive's books, and two of Gary's.

I credit each of those books as giving me a greater grasp of what I'm doing. My books by Gary are on the CTX, where as Clive's Excal books were thought provoking = ideas :)

Over the time I've owned the CTX, I've decided not to water hunt with it - the Excal does just fine.

I may hear some objections - debate on that choice, but right now it suits me.

Tomorrow will tell us later :)

That water gets Deep :)

I have found myself going more to my Excals for the water. I love my ctx too and it really is a hard choice to make. I have heard of a few recent flooding problems with several other people detecting but I have never had a problem. I triple check my battery and use a large rubber band on the battery clips. It's hard to beat the Excal.
