🔎 UNIDENTIFIED What were those tiny buckles used for?

Got two of these in the same field. I though maybe a child's buckle, shoe or something entirely else. Could it been for a spur? The field had activity in 1870s-early 1900s. I can't get a straight answer with google lens about them.

Probably not the case here but they are about the right size for wrist watch bands, the first wrist watch was made in 1810 for the queen of Naples, but they didn't become common place until WW1.

What about maybe horse related for some harness ?

They look like shoe buckles to me.

So probably straps on a horse or wagon/work related no telling , thanks for your response. I need to tell myself everything can't be pin pointed
