On my lunch break found a baby doll buckle or kids shoe buckle and this decorative item. It’s fairly heavy. Any ideas? Got the two small holes on back but they don’t go all the way though. Maybe a brooch or something else?

Was searching different possibilities and maybe that tiny hole in center on back was for a wire or rod making it a hat pin. But that doesn’t explain the other two holes. In certain way light shines it does have some faint writing on back but it’s to hard to make out

However, the pattern is different and there isn't a pic of the underside at that website. I took a look the Emenee website at https://www.knobs4less.com/Emenee-C...b.html?N=category+Cabinet_Knobs+shape+Octagon, who manufactured the knob, and didn't see any octagon-shaped knobs like yours in their current offerings.

Seems like that’s probably what it’s a drawer pull or cabinet knob.

At that size and with the hole in the center on the back, that is a good guess.
