you have a nice little "end scraper" there ...what state are you in ? hard to tell what it was used for specifically but general ..scraping. Some were made for specific purposes and some have named types. Knowing the state your from will help id any typology on things you post. cool pc.

just in case you didn't already know that was " hafted" connected to a handle probably bone or wood the wider end was the working end while the smaller end was inserted into the handle.

seriously... a ho the size of your thumb. do you wash your floor with a toothbrush?

all crassness aside... a job for a hoe that small would be done with the fingers.

Broken arrow head, that has been rework, to be used as a scraper.Normally sharped just on one side.

did you see the photo at all?

here is 1 of my arrowheads.. well actually dart point that has been broken and reworked. the piece that started this thread. is a complete tool.

looks like an end scraper to me. pics a little fuzzy. They all have one worked side, and the other is naturaly fractured smooth surface with a curve to it. Easily over looked in a field, but a very nice artifact.
I've got a board full, i like to find 'em.

thought I would add not all of them are uni-facial. I found this 1 about 2 months ago in the area of the springs in central florida. it's completely bi-facial. different style of the same tool. hafted using a notch. we call them clamshell scrapers just because of the shape.
