My friend inherited a bunch of old copper and brass items from her mothers estate and shes trying to ID these items. they appear to have asian symbols or script and are fairly heavy

Any ideas?

Id'd have called it an Ash Tray :dontknow:

maybe would work with incense too.

Great ID Steve and Nice relics

Just doing a bit of tidying up on some older threads, mainly for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Heck now I know what those are. I've seen these brass items before in the antique shops and thrift stores. Some even had green stone handles. I always thought they were a Chinese ladle or something to dip liquid with.
