Wheats & Mercury (Updated with more finds today.)

Got out for a couple hours today. Hunted a friend's '30s house. Just had time to do about 1/2 of the front yard. Also dug some clad and a bunch of junk. If I get time, I'll go back tomorrow & hit the rest of the yard plus an adjacent rental house that they own.

Dates: Pennies 36D 44S 44D (2) The two '44Ds were back to back in the same hole. Dime: '36 Nickel: '49

Happy Hunting. Thanks for looking.

Evan

Re: Wheats & Mercury

Found some more stuff today. $2.49 clad. '54 Kalispell Dog Tax. '54 play dime ( That little bugger was pretty deep, I was proud of my machine for picking it up. It rang up as a nickel (18-22 VDI) 3" deep. Rooted around and found it about 6" deep. I got excited when I saw the silver color and I thought by the size, it could only be a thrime. Went and washed it right away but it was too good to be true. Oh Well, better than a pulltab.) Some kind of button with a bird and anchor. Kids ring (another one that got me excited until I washed it) Tiny pocket knife. Religious medallion. Briggs and Stratton key. 2 wheats '56D & '39
