When i rains..it pours

My best friend and long time land hunting partner's dad died early this morning
It was my friend Paul - don't know if anyone here would have met him - some might know him
by his best find - he found the oldest know American made mourning ring - (which was posted on Whites forum yrs ago)
he doesn't post much - we met in 1980 at age 17 at a detecting club meeting and have been friends and hunted together ever since
but I got call form him this morning with bad news

Then my GF (of 18 yrs) got call from her sister to come to her moms house this evening
and just after she walked in - her mom passed - I know some here have met my girlfriend Rosa
please say a prayer for both their families

14 year old son is a run away from home.

Prayers for all these families and their losses and special prayer for the young man who ran away from home. An 82 year old member of our church fell and broke his hip Sunday evening and the doctors have taken him off his blood thinner and will do surgery this Friday and I'm praying for a successful outcome. Life is like a vapor and then it's gone. Tell friends and family you love them often, because you never know when they will be taken from us. Mama has been in a steep decline the last two years and I treasure the time we spend together now.

Prayers to both. While it may be of little comfort, I believe that things happen exactly as they should, exactly when they should, according to God's plan. That doesn't mean we mortals can understand why and it doesn't lessen our grief. Being 14 years old is tough, especially in today's culture. I hope for his safe return.
