Where are all of the detectorists in New Mexico?

I've lived in Roswell, since 2001. In the intervening years, I have known only two other detectorists. One in 2003 (now deceased), a neighbor in 2006 who went with me once (now moved away), and one who went with me this year (2026). That is a slim number!

A couple of years after I moved here, I did find out about a club in Albuquerque. One of their requirements was that I'd attend at least three hunts, before I could become a member. There was also a requirement about club meetings, but I don't remember what that was. Albuquerque, is a three-hour drive each way, so my answer was... No way Jose!

There has to be others in the Roswell, area, and perhaps this post will drum up a few others?

Yeah im a detectorist near Alb and cant seem to find a buddy either. I used to pass through Roswell all the time when i worked in Carlsbad, but that was many years ago. Ive never been able to get ahold of any club in Alb, i tried a few years ago but never got a response. Well what can you do, just keep on trucken i reckon. Good luck bud and happy hunting...
