Where to look?

So I'm working (not for the mine) near a commercial gold mine it is a surface mine I have never been into hard rock mining but looking at all the different rocks on the surface is getting me exited wheat are some different types of rock to look for and the best way to extract the gold if it is there thanks!

M8 It sooo depends on where, Every piece of Rock is a little different. wether your working a thermal vent, a lava tube, a Earthquake fault, or a seam.. there are a huge variety of ways to look at the Where to dig.. pictures of the general area (from as high up as possible, and as high resolution as possible) would help.
