Which jeweler's loupe?

I am in the need for a better way to check out the coin's dates I am finding. I saw a guy in the park who dug a coin and then pulled out this loupe and looked at a coin he found, smiled and then put things away. I want to look inside the band of rings to see the markings there too. Comments about manufacturer brands and price for a quality loupe would be appreciated. Thanks...Jim

I see Harbor Freight has some loupes at their website for pretty cheap too.

www.harborfreight.com and search for loupes

I bought a set a few months ago at Harbor Freight, from 3X to 10X in five loupes, for less than $10 and I'm happy with them. They really help with the ring markings. Good luck on the better quality loupes. I needed to check some rings I've picked up and they worked great for that purpose.

i would say avoid any loupe with plastic lenses. the plastic does not stand up to the constant detrius that gathers in your pocket.

Try Amazon.com, I recently purchased 3 for $12.99. One 10x, One 30x, and one that was 20x on one end and 10x on the other. Very satisified for the money.
