Howdy..about this time of the year a lot of people in new zealand go whtebaiting..a small juvenile fish species that migrate up the rivers in early spring they are scooped in nets or harvested in set nets off purposely buit stands stands..they command a high dollar like $140.00 a kilo.. I have sent you a fritta for a taste lol..ok..takes about 1000 of the lil uns for a fritta ..but beleive me ..you would love the taste..ever tried one

They look slimy, but the fritta looks like it just might be good, I wish I could try it. Is it really fishy tasting?

no nature girl they are a taste out of this world not fishy as such, just like you have one and your hooked for ever and ever..you add a cup of them ,one egg, s/p mix up and cook in a hot skillett...aaaaaarrrrr devine..thanks for looking

Thanks for sharing. Seems like a very good dish for breakfast. The fish has some good protein in it ( http://www.ecuisine.org/recipe/recipe-Whitebait-Fritters-79133.aspx ) And along with an egg, it should be even greater.
