Hey Slickster - why are you so mean? Don't you know that some of us are communications challenged?

Yes, They only made two and he wants to know who bought the other one. Isn't that clear enough? Geeez. If you can answer that, I'd like to know how long a piece of rope is.
Berryman, I think I hear a Strawberry calling!

The piece of rope is twice as long as half its length, I'm not clear on what the other one is though. HH

To all. Please excuse Berryman. He just recently retired and now he has nothing better to do than buy detectors, go detecting, and throw strawberries at everyone.

I've used one for almost 4 years now and plan on using it a LOT longer.

Highly underrated machine.

God Bless

I don't own one, but the M6 and MX5 are on my list for a new detector. I have read a lot on the M6 and have yet to find somebody talk bad about it. It's pretty easy to find a bad review or two on a detector, but with the M6 it seems almost impossible to find something bad about it. The M6 also seems to have a cult following of users that are very successful with it.

A metal detector with a "cult following"? I've never heard of anything like that before! :laughing7:

While no detector is perfect, the M6 is tough in the trenches. I owned one and found lots of coins and jewelry. It has the best ground auto balance and trac in the business. I used 3 coils, the stock 950, the 6x10 DD, and the 5.3 eclipse. Of these the 5.3 was my favorite for around structures and was the best balance of the bunch. I liked the 6x10 for sports fields and open areas. It did decently around structures and trash. In my opinion the M6 should come with the 5.3 coil and then get the 6x 10 as a accessory. For me it was too heavy due to a injured wrist and I traded for the Tesoro Vaquero which did a good job. I missed the target ID and now I'm using the Teknetics Gamma 2.6 lbs with target ID.

I have had the M6 for about 10 years now and I like it and have no thoughts of getting anything else. Although, there are tons of great detectors but, this one is a great all around. I have the stock 950 coil as well, and am looking into getting a DD coil. Have fun and good luck.

I know. It was a joke between a buddy that used to be on here a long time ago, who had an MXT and it was a competion between us. So I put that down and have not changed it. I was waiting for someone to call me out. Nice catch. I do also like the mxt it is very nice. All Whites are great I think.
