My spare detector is a White's Coinmaster 3900/D. I bought it used and it's always had the problem of the meter needle NOT continuously pointing to the target reading. The needle seems to rise to the appropriate reading (say 65 for a quarter), but immediately falls back to 0.
I wondered if the trigger/reset switch might be defective but wasn't able to find any obvious problems with my multitester.
Anyone seen this issue with White's detectors? Thanks.
