How long did you had it for?

About 3 weeks. A little over 2 weeks use in tot-lots and then I hit the regular dirt. Blade bent in the dirt and the handle slips.

Thank you for the heads up. I would have been very disappointed to find out about that myself. Do you have any recommendations for a hand digger that is double serrated, like the whites digmaster?

I just finished messaging paystreak. He is almost ready to do a one year review on the CKG. So far he said he really likes it. He hasn't bent it or broke it, and he said he tried. Just ordered mine and I should have it in my hands by Thursday.

Ya, I had my eyes on that one can't wait for the review Paystreak gives on it. He's always very indepth.🙂

Let me know if it's sharp and pointy out of the box. If it is that would be great, because I'm not very experienced with sharpening digging tools.😅

It came in the mail today and I just finished opening it and looking it over.

Pro:
It came packaged very well. Comes in a nice box, cushioned with Styrofoam. Plastic bag on the blade and one on the handle. Great first impression.

Neutral:
The point and edges are not sharp at all, which after a few digs would dull anyway. The root teeth feel pretty sharp. The opposite teeth are basically bumps with a slight point on them.

Material wise, the metal It feels to be pretty solid but I'm not going to try it out. A few reviewers have reported them breaking. One reviewer started he broke two of them in six months.

Con:
Right out of the box, I can spin the handle.

My first impression is to send it back and that's probably what I'm going to do.
With the handle that spins, the dull edges and the reviews, I don't believe I will keep it.

Update: sent back.
Ordered a predator m85 military black.

Good to know, I have a really good feeling about the predator m85 digging tool. It's actually the exact model, of what White's based their White's Digmaster off. White's just fixed all the cons of the m85 and made the pros better. Sucks the Terra X hand digger and CKG hand digger happened to be a letdown. I would 100% grab a m85 hand digger if it were double serrated😏

Was thinking about the ckg, but also saw some people had theirs break.
The predator blade looks like a similar finish to the whites, bet it is super solid.

Keep getting people trying to scam me from my post here. they send an email like "hey so and so has one he would sell you email him at "soandso at soandso dot com" they have no posting history here so I am not going to pursue it. Be careful I guess.

On a sidenote, I got my digger sheath from paystreak, it is awesome. Paystreak is the best.

Anyhoo, the search continues.
