Whites new Beach Hunter ID 300 is out for us.

Whites new Beach Hunter ID 300 is an upgraded version of the old detector with the addition of a Super 12 inch Yellow coil. This coil has neutral buoyancy so it won't float like the other one, however it will also be heavier for the dry sand hunters. With the addition of this bigger coil it now approaches the depths of the Excal's and the NEW price has also gone up just like the gas to $999.95. It still is a sorry dive unit as it still has a depth limit of 25 feet. But you can't really have it all in one machine.........yet.

I have the Super 12 coil on my BHID (not the new BHID 300).

The Super 12 is a really great coil! This coil is more stable over the stock coil, has fast recovery, hits just as hard on the smaller targets, is very deep, spot on pinpointing, and is very light weight!!!

It seems White's waited a long time until they had the best coil available for the BHID!!!

The wieght is no different due to the spider coil design...plus being larger the few ounces is spread out...its great for the dry...hip or chest mount the suplied carry pouch and its one of the lightest detectors out there for its coil size...really this has been out for a year...all you had to do to get it is call Bob in Va. service center...he had mine out to me in a week and a day!!! Depth close to the Excal? I have dug side by side with the Excal 1000....I say it's Deeper!!!! I can already hear the up roar....LOL!! It's also a great small gold getter....and a small chain getter!!! I have heard the comments about..."not caring about finding small chains...ect,ect" "they are so light who cares" I just went over my cash intake from scrapped chains since Sept. 2008.....$1,350.00 Give or take a buck or 2!! I will say the Beach Hunter ID takes a little more time to learn all the settings..having the manual G.B ect...but when you do it is a super hot detector that is one of the most under rated detectors out there!! Whites service and the time they take to please there customers is by far #1!! Sorry if this is some what of a rant....but so many have put this detector down before truely giving it the chance to prove its self!! HH ALL!! GOLD SEASON IS HEATING UP...GET SOME!!!!!!!

You are right about the BHID beach-hunter......it is deadly on chains and other small gold.....It takes a little time to get used to what it is saying to you but once you take some time with it and learn the machine it is a true killer....the super 12 coil will make it a true topnotch contender in the saltwater machine catagory for sure!!
