i just picked up a tesoro silver sabre umax. i think its the micro umax from what i read about it on lost treasure field test. but im not sure, it has 3 knobs and a pinpoint button, on/off sens, disc level, and threshold. tiny little control box.. is this considered a micro?? thanks for any help. pap.

I don't think I am an expert, but here is a link to the manual.

The Micro Umax is still a good detector in a small light easy to handle package. It is simple and straight forward easy to learn unit. You will enjoy the heck out of it.

thanks sandman. i got it for my daughter she really likes it, pap

The Silver Sabre uMax is my favorite detector of all time. I also have an Etrac and a couple other machines. That thing is just smooth and easy to use. Doesn't miss much at all. Really quiet over iron. The pinpoint button puts it in no motion mode which is great. Detectors come and go but I will always keep the Silver Sabre uMax. Used coils are cheap too. How much did you pay?
