Who says you can't find silver in a cent roll?

Going through some Strings and Sons rolls of cents with a magnifying glass this afternoon and this was in a roll ;D. Made my day when i googled it. With a silver reeded edge it stood right out in the roll. Has the look and passes the ring test. Below a link describing the coin. Thanks for reading. MM2

Sorry, right link didn't come up. I'll try to fix it.

Click on the commonwealth coinage to the left and it will take you to this coin.

Yep, last year they made sterling silver sixpences in Australia, great find!

Now that is what I call a find!

Nice catch! MM2.

I got a silver-looking coin but it's a Chinese Aluminum 10c.

That's rad. Closest I've come was a '64 Roosie in a bag.... bags have a lot more variety.

awesome coin MM2!! Your coin is sterling silver, 0.925 :)

You are one of the select few to have found silver in a cent roll, I hope to join that club some day

No, Buff is right, because they started minting 50% ones in 1946. So this is an example of last year sterling silver from Australia.
