Just asking because after finding it in 2015 in 35 minutes while looking on Google Earth, I have not found one person here that wants to try to go to the entrance and peek in.....

I mean is it really worth the loss of your time and loss of money running around looking for it anymore?

Just take my word for it and go see for yourself

I live in the opposite side of the country and am not going to be trying to run around searching, but I will walk the line with everyone if they will welcome the tour someday this later year.

Anyone want to try to get a team together for a hike there?

Wayne T. and Bob S. are in....just gotta arrange a group that wants to have a good time and leave the armchair argument behind

We can meet at the Goldfield Ghost Town and take off from there in a caravan to the entry point into the canyon.

Have to look THROUGH the Eye of the Needle

A literal instruction to see the #5 Mines

Here the Cursum Perficio map was found to hold the exact design of an arch/omega and an array of lines emanating from the center, pointing at each of the locations

Too late for all that Eldo. A couple of years ago, 18 of us dutch hunters got together and over that winter....mostly working under a canopy.... cleaned everything out. So, there's nothing left there now, other than some old empty mines and burned wagon bits where our campfires were, along with the canopy that a few of us might go back and take down next fall sometime.

We called our group " The Reavis and Beale Treasure Recovery Team ". A few of the fellas suggested calling ourselves "The Eldo Appreciation Club" on account of all the stuff you put up on T-Net, but the rest of us liked the other name better. That was mainly because you obviously hadn't known about the biggest part of the treasure trove that was up on that mountain.....the huge vault that we discovered directly underneath the Beale Party wagons and which contained the entire Templar treasure. I'll make another post later, with some pictures for you to look at and show your friends on the other threads.

Love your persistence, but knowing the real solve to the h/p makes your solve entertaining. Gl.

I'm hurt that of the 18 dutch hunters you didn't invite me! That would have been a once in a lifetime opportunity. Could you at least ship me a little bit of the treasure you recovered just for old times sake??? :)

maybe they will invite us on the next wild goose chase:laughing7:

I'm going, but not there. I'll be heading in another direction.

Better than that....I'll put you on the list for the next recovery operation we have only just begun to plan.
Only just....because it has taken a coupe of years to decode the instructions from Beale and to translate the latin and Spanish documents from Reavis' Mexican collection that were in an old chest we had found in one of the wagons up there. Apparently, Reavis and Beale had figured out that an even larger and more important treasure was not far from where they had found the gold mines and Templar treasure, and I could see from what Beale had written and Reavis' map that they had discovered where Montezumas Treasure had been hidden and that the Beale party was probably on it's way there with some mules when they were attacked and massacred by the Apaches at the Massacre Grounds. So that's where I started out for a hike the last time I was down, and because there were no Apaches this time, I was able to follow Revis' map and what I was then able to read from Beale's instructions past the massacre site and out to a place from where I could see and take a few photos of some stuff that I don't think anyone else has seen since the early 1500's, when the Aztecs themselves were last there.

Here are a couple of photos I took that day....

A walled up cave with a doorway

A carving of an eagle....perched on a prickly pear and clutching a snake...a bit higher and to the left of the cave in the previous pic. Sorry it's a bit blurry, but my camera was having some trouble focusing that day, and it's also a crop from one I shot from a couple -of hundred feet away.

Did the eagle head look like this in red?.

No, it's bit darker than the rock ridge it's on.
Looks a lot like the one on the Mexican Flag, except its wings are folded and it's looking backwards.
And it's not just a head.
