Quick hunt while the wife let the dogs out at the field. We both laughed... He looks like our old dog.

I'm guessing the loop was so the kiddies could tie a string to it and take it for a walk. Hard to believe it would be a necklace. The damn thing weighs a ton.

Nice find, Gio. Is it lead or pewter? Maybe the loop once had a leash attached. I agree it looks to bulky to have been worn by a kid.

It is lead. A friend found one online last night that had a small chain for the kids to pull it with.
