Why did GOLD and SILVER drop like a rock today?

Anyone see the metals chart today. Who can give me some valid reasons
why G&S dropped today?

I can think of a few:
End of year selling/profit taking?
Fiscal Cliff jitters?
End of the world tommorrow (those who diew ith the most toys win)?

Either the dollar gained value,which i doubt very much.Or the market is being manipulated.

It's the end of the year and people are selling to maximize profits/loses before 2013.

Gold and Silver are used as the sweep funds for the big boys. They hold in Gold And silver until a good stock takes a dip. At that point they dump the gold and/or Silver and pick up the undervalued stock. At that point the metals drop. When the stock rebounds, they sell it and buy metal. I call it the yo-yo effect. That's how millionaires are made. Frank

I hear this is just a blip (buying opportunity) on the radar on the way to $80 silver and $3000 gold.
Supposedly China is buying silver like crazy right now.
