I've seen the wiki page another website and Thomas p Terry's Atlas but aside from all of that info is very hard to come by. Where there not very many in this state? I bought a book called gold and where they found it, very informative on about every state but hardly anything on NC, also why is most info on the west it seems like it would be nice to read some in-depth info on ghost towns of the southeast for once.

In NC, most were just MINING CAMPS... NOTHING on "records".

Anyway to find info on camps?

"Google" Mining Camps of WESTERN North Carolina. HH! Good Luck!

Will do.
