Why is it that everytime you find some info that you figure on saving for later,
YOU CAN NEVER FIND IT.
I know I had a bunch of links for the union canal here in Pa. with some maps of the tow paths. Now everything has wandered away just like my mind.
HH for info

Just wait until you get to be my age!!!

It will be in the last place you look.

Every time I hear that it cracks me up. Would you keep looking after you found something?

Good Luck!

I have stuff disappearing all the time. This is why I never throw anything away too. I'll look for it later. ;D

A couple of years ago I put away a Honus Wagner baseball card in a place so it wouldn't fade or get bent and promptly forgot where I put it. One just like it (I think) sold recently at auction for nearly a million dollars! I have torn my house upside down looking for it but can't find it! Oh, and I can't ever find the darn hose washers I put away so I wouldn't lose them either! Monty

How about looking for your reading glasses when you got them on!! Honest, it's happened to me.

My wife bought me one of those little gizmos that you put on your key ring.
Push the other button and the keys beep until you find 'em. I lost the button half on day one. Still haven't found it two years later.

Check the PA page if you haven't already?

Maybe this is what happens with some of those coin hoards found in the U.K. and Europe.

:icon_queen: "Maximus, where did you put that silver chalice full of gold coins?"
:icon_king: "Darn it, I'm sure it was in this field that I buried it"

Oh, I'll find it some day, and I could use the money no question about that. I just hope that when I do find it , it is the same one that brought all the $$$. It's about half the size of a normal baseball card and I think it came off a plug of tobacco. At least I know the picture on the card is the same as the one that drew all the bucks. Actually, I gave it to my oldest son when he was a bout 13 and he gets half if I ever find it. The reason I put it up like I did was I was afraid the would lose it or tear it up playing with it. I took it to a baseball card show once and everyone acted dumb about it but they all offered to buy it. I think fifty bucks was the high offer. That's why I kept it, I figured they wre all trying to get to me. When I log on with a new SuperTransindental Magic Wizard III detector you will know I found it! ;D ;D

Is that the one with audio that tells you what's in the ground, and then digs it for you? :icon_sunny:

The are 2 different Honus cards the best came from Piedmont cigs. and has the back marked as such. the other has a plain back and was in wonder bread. Both are part of the 1917 Cracker Jack Baseball card set.
Even if you should have a plain back card it is still worth about $35,000 condition pending.

Joe

The one I had said something about tobacco on the back I'm pretty sure and was about the size of a plug of tobacco. It was smaller than the cards we have now days. Monty

Monty, when you find it be sure to post a picture. I have seen one at a card show in a mall and yes they are smaller than todays cards.

Remember the beekrock thread??? Be sure to check all the hiding places mentioned and don't forget the fallout shelter ;D ;D
