Just throwing thoughts out there, why would or why would they not? They being the depositors.
Why dig and bury so deep if they had intentions of ever coming back for the deposit?
It would seem to me that it would be more expedient for a quick recovery and get away to find a well hidden spot and use natural camouflage for an easier and quicker grab and go type getaway?
