You all know about Noah and his Ark. Well a hole started to appear in the side of the wooden boat and water was coming in. So Noah got one of the dogs and poked its nose into the hole. That stopped the water for a while but the hole got bigger and water entered again. So he fetched Mrs Noah (I forget her name) and got her to put her hand in to block the hole. Again that stopped the water for a while but the hole got bigger and water entered again. In desperation Noah turned around and sat in the hole. That stopped the leak and the Ark was saved and we are here as a result.

But it is why, even today, dogs have cold noses, women have cold hands and men always stand with their backs to the fire.
