Hi,
A easy way to recheck the dirt you have taken out of a hole without a pinpointer and also keeps the grass neat looking when you are finished is to place the dirt on a small hand towel and just pick up the towel wave it over the coil. When finished and removed your find just pour the dirt back in the hole. Worked for me until I got my pinpointer.

I won't attempt to dig a yard - especially a nice yard unless it's after a rain. It makes digging easier and reduces the brown spots. When it's dry I try to hit the Tot lots and sand.
