I DARE YOU TO DRINK IT!
At least open it up and pour it into a glass so you can see what it looks like. Post a photo of it in the glass too!

Hey, Open it, toss the can and the beer. Now you can add the tab to your collection! Cool!

Re: Will Dig For Beer!!

Maybe it's still good. I think they used to carry beer on ships to drink because it would not get infested with bacteria like water. Not sure but I think I read that somewhere. Because it had been boiled in the making it was "sterile". Not sure what if anything the aluminum does to it. Put it in the fridge, invite your buddy over that always drinks your beer but never buys any back, you know the one. If it doesn't kill him, then we know it was good! ;D

Re: Will Dig For Beer!!

In about 1967 a train derailed just outside Stillwater, OK, near the Oklahoma State University campus. It was carrying a boxcar load of beer that subsequently split open and spilled thousands of cans of beer all along the railroad right of way. The beer co. sent out a grader that dug a pit and buried all the spilled beer. Night after night the RR had to run off college students armed with shovels that were digging up the beer! Finally they had to fence it off with razor wire and put locking gates on the area. I don't know what ever happened after that , but I remember several college students sitting around plotting how to get that beer. I heard one elaborate plan to tunnel under the fence. Just an amusing bit of trivia. Monty

but it's a crappy flaked maize and rice brew.
HEY...thats my brand...and its a lagar :occasion14:
Yup...and they use more corn and rice to make it rather than malted barley. Go down to your LHBS (local homebrew store) and pick yourself up a starter kit, and a nice pilsner extract kit...you're going to need space in the fridge to ferment for a few weeks (lagers are fermented colder than ales...something like 50-60 degrees rather than 60-70) and make yourself a good pilsner/lager. Soon you will say HOMEBREW is your brand! Best tasting beer I've ever had, and I would bet it will be yours too.
