Does beer improve with age?? Like Jacques Cousteau finding full wine bottles from old shipwrecks and drinking it. Something tells me beer rots with age...

I've tasted some homebrewed beers that have set in a cellar for more than a year and were the best beers I have ever had. Beer was brewed for a very long time to clean drinking water and preserve it longer. Most beasties can't grow in an alcoholic environment (especially one that has hop oils in it), and even less of those that can, could actually hurt you unless you were allergic. Some yeast might give you a stomach issue if you weren't used to them, but most wouldn't blink an eye. It's not going to hurt you but I wouldn't trust that Bud to taste good (1. b/c it's a rice/corn brew 2. b/c it was in a can and 3. b/c it is invariably skunked). It's been tossed around on palates in a warehouse, tossed around on a truck, then kicked around in the woods and most likely exposed to extreme temps. Oxygenated post fermentation almost definately. The only thing worse than a bud is a skunky bud...worse than that is Pabst, Beast, Mich, Miller, Coors and Genny...can anyone say Utica Club or Golden Anniversary? Yuck!

I found a twelve pack (Glass) once , hidden behind a tree on the road by a place i dig. I took it home and it was fine once chilled.
