Williamsport and Antietam give up some GOODIES!!!

Today Civilman, Howard and myself met up with two new diggers,
Sam and Brian. Sam took us to his brothers property that is along
the route that General Lee's men pushed the Calvary from Williamsport,
to Boonsboro, Maryland.

We were literally crawling through the briers to hunt the property.
Civil and I were in our element!!!

Around lunch we decided to head to Antietam and those ploughed fields that
we have been have luck with.

Sam pulled out his very first bullet. Man, what a rush!!! I wish I had taken
my camera into the field to capture that moment.

These are my finds for the day. Well, there was a tourist from New Mexico
who stopped to chat up Civil and myself. She was a very nice elderly lady
who was fascinated that we were still able to pull out quality relics. She was
so excited to just hold a 58 that had just been recovered that I HAD to
clean one up and give it to her as a memory of her first trip to Antietam.

I found a piece of brass that is a little unusal. It has some
pretty cool designs on the front of it, and some kind of "swivel"
hole in the back. Part of the left side is broken off, but I would
still like to know what it is.

Civil and I stayed out all day and had a great time!!! Check out

I'm telling you Ty....That was the greatest thing of the Day when that Lady had now owned a piece of American History...I'm sure she'll never forget

We talked to the Mother and Son for around 20 min.'s or so,she was fascinated about the history and started to tell us about the "point's" she find's out in NM.She said it was "theraputic" To see the look on her face when TY gave her that bullet was priceless....Class Act Ty.More "ploughed" field's to come Man....Great Day for the both of us.....

That coin I found was the first hit walking into the briars over at Williamsport.
It stopped my heart, until I brushed it and saw it was a 1999 PA state quarter..
.............Oh well..............battery fund.
