Had a chance to get out for about an hour and a half today with Swampfox. He called me and informed me that he was taking today off and wanted to know if I wanted to detect. I told him I had an eye exam around 1:30 and didn’t think I could go…I thought a bit and called the boss and told him that I was taking the rest of the day off. I figured since I did so well with the Ace 250 with the sniper coil last time, I would give it a shot again. First hit I got was a wheat and then I heard him holler at me..darn , he found the first IH penny..(1902) in great shape. I hunted for awhile and got my first Merc..a 1928..After all was said and done I ended up with 2 more mercs and 7 wheats. This was the same spot that I found the other 3 mercs last week. This almost makes me want to retire and just MD..Oh well, that will not be for a spell yet. HH all and GL

There must have been a run on Mercs yesterday.. I found 4 and you hit 3..... that rare 1916d is lurking out there somewhere.. someone find it this year... I hit the regular '16...... so close yet so far away..... congrats on your digs!
