They keep the parks in pretty good shape around here...
Summertime, when it may get to 115* it gets a little sparse, though. ;)

I guess I wouldn't feel like it was winter if I had to look at that in January. Think I'll stay in Iowa! ;D

Actually we have a number of climate zones here in CA in part because the state is long and tall in latitude, and we also have elevated mountainous areas along with desert areas below sea level... and high desert!

Seasons may not be so marked and possibly so spectacular as parts of the midwest, and east, but a few weeks ago we had a foot of leaves dump in the yard! Just a couple hours east of us, they may easily get 4ft of snow, to as much as 12ft drifts that I've seen myself.

It's hard to believe an intense snowstorm in southern California, but it happens occasionally. ;D
