Found this Watkins display in an old store, was hoping somebody in B&G may have seen one like this or similar in hopes of getting its age. It has rubber feet on the bottom so it was designed as a counter top display, it also appears to have had something attached in the center at one time , maybe a marquee sign?

My guess was the 1930`s.

24 long
7 3/4 wide
5 inches at its highest (center/back)
4 1/2 inch sides, 2 inch front (high)
On the bottom its stamped

manufactured by
Wiplinger Aircraft
Fleming field
So. St.Paul Minn.

Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Blacksheep,

First off, awesome find!

Wiplinger Aircraft operated at Fleming Field in the 1940's, where they modified military aircraft into civilian aircraft. Shortly thereafter they changed the company name to Wipline, and manufactured floats for seaplanes.

I also found a Watkins publication from 1947, script similar but not the same. Most Watkins bottles I have seen have been embossed in no nonsense block printing.

Hope this helped somewhat,

Mr R
