Hello all,
I just want to reach out to you all in hopes of finding out more about a few medals I found while detecting a park that is undergoing a makeover. They are redoing a 1930's park in 3 phases ( currently on phase 1) and I have permission to detect:icon_thumright: First I found what I believe is a Wisconsin Health Guard medal. The medal is in terrible shape but I could barely make out the markings, but I believe it was the 1917 Christmas Seal Anti Tuberculosis Campaign. I have looked for some pictures to get a better idea on how it looked new, but have not been very successful. I also found a Womans Relief Corp - 1883 medal. That was in very nice shape. Interesting to find these items in a park that was made in the 1930's. Possibly it was popular gathering area previously and the natural progression was to turn it into a park. Thanks.
