Maybe if you post the title of the artist & song, I can just get the actual song for you instead of trying to cut it out of some video? Just a suggestion...

Can you convert it to a .wav file and move it that way?

No I can't. Either I am too stupid or I just don't know how.

Bran, I'm not trying to cut it out of a video... I already have the song.

I have a song on my computer. Well, I have a bunch, but I'm only after a portion of one. I can play the song with my windows media player, or any of a couple of applications.

A .wav file would be fine, if I could convert it to that, and only save a portion of it, or shrink it to less than 1MB. I am trying to upload a portion of the song to my blog.

I'm sure there is a program out there that can do that...

You can do it with multi track recording software. Download.com

Yep
download.com should have music editing software on there that you can edit the track.
Just search the free software and look for the highest rated program.

Most very cool - program works great and does exactly what I need.

Many thanks!
