does it have any signs of wear and tear on the ends? looks like possibly some time of hammerstone used by the indians. need to see the ends though.

I work with rocks in my job and unless the ends are hammered or notched it is probably just a river rock that has a worn leading edge from facing up current. God only knows how it got in your yard.
