hammered said:Re the pendant, the style says Roman but the metal says earlier. Unless documented somewhere else this is going to be a hard one to nail down to an exact period. Most cast Celtic animal figures were votive, but this has a hole so as to be worn as a pendant, although this does not preclude the votive aspect. This is truly why I love detecting, the puzzles and enigmas really get the grey matter working. I hope you get an answer somewhere on this Cru because I am fascinated .
