Decided to go out for a short 2 hour hunt as I had to wait for the mechanic to arrive for repairs on my boat.

I like hunting in the woods .....always seem to find decent stuff and the signals always seem to be clearer for some reason. Was nothing special about the spot ..was just curious. One of them spots we all look at and say ...hmm wonder if anything there maybe I,ll look there next day ...but we always say that and never stop.

Nothing special...but was fun.

Wow......... great stuff there. Especially for a short hunt. That key looks like it was fit to unlock the Gates of Hell. A bigun as we say in TN. Congrats.:laughing7:

Some real nice finds there Aqua. Liken the key for sure.

I posted the 2nd coin in the WHAT IS IT thread...no idea at all what it is..is a token..but seems odd that there is letters on the other side

Looks pretty special to me ! there's gotta be a fishy or some other old silvers out there, nice saves !

Cool large cents, I've found a couple of those, HH

I like that RH token as IH ided for you. "sometimes attributed to Richard Hurd of Montreal. Breton number 990. BTW is one I haven't found yet.
The big iron key is pretty cool too.

TY GUYS

I like the key..my 1st like that...good conversation piece.

Wish some of these coppers were in better shape........................all I seem to find lately is coppers in unrecognizable shape.

TY for the ID guys........... is nice to find coins that I don,t currently have.

Finding new spots that hold lotsa coins is not an easy task.

When I first started I found 3 spots that I picked 15+ coins from .. OLD silvers and coppers...... now I,m struggling to find a spot that will give me more than 2 coins..if any.,,,,,,,,WEIRD !!!!!!!!!!!!

SURELY BEGINNERS LUCK DOESN,T WORK THAT WAY !!

You got lucky finding old sites with multiple coins especially old silvers , not every site is like that. You also hunt alone, different thing when there's competition and someone to share in the finds
You are fortunate to live and hunt in a really old area

Stick that key in some apple cider vinegar for a month or so and you'll have a completely different relic!
