Woodworking equipment Question: Proper Bandsaw

Don't forget to get the right TPI, I would suggest 3 TPI and also a "hook" blade, it will cut faster which also means easier but you would get a rougher finish.

Another consideration is whether you are cutting green or dry wood? If it is green you will want to make sure there is plenty of "set" in the teeth.
 

I understand that this thread is already very old, but I have several questions, one of which is what exactly do you use to process the corpus and how long does this process take you?
 

On a band saw you can get blades with different amount of teeth per inch. The more teeth the finer and smoother the cut the slower the speed of the blade going down the better the cut. Plus slower speed will keep the from getting to hot losing its hardness which will stay sharper and last longer., thanks marion
