Working on the Old Cemetery again

Last year I worked hard to get the stones straightened up and repaired . I finally got the township to help me . We got it done. I had bought a lawnmower for it so i could keep it mowed. They took the mower telling me they would take care of it. As you can see from th first few pictures how they did. I called them back up demanding my mower back so i could keep it taken care of.

One trustee told me they would get it done. As you can see they did a good job.

With memorial day coming I wanted to get the stones cleaned. I found out it would take months for the chemicals to whiten them back up . But I paid to have it done anyways.

Quick question….how did you straighten the obelisk? Have one on my property, not my kin, but it’s leaning. Want to straighten it before it falls. Was thinking of a nylon sling and a comealong hooked to a tree, followed by gravel and concrete underneath. Thoughts?

No i do not have any relation buried there. There is a revolutionary soldier buried there and I just think he deserves better top side. I have caring for this cemetery for at least 5 years. I do have a little bit of money in it

Get a box of 20 mule team BORAX and clean it with some in a bucket of warm water. Should be easy.

I hired a professional cleaner to clean them. There was a special soap he was using. I think it was like 80 dollars a gallon. With tax and his work it came to $346 for him to clean them. This cemetery is WAY OUT in a old field. There is nothing near it. Today I will take a picture of it and post it.

I had a back hoe come in and used a couple straps . we took it apart and then put crushed stones under it to put it back together. and then used a special cement or glue to put it back together. The tall part was broken in half. So it was kind of like glued back together
