would you sell outside of eBay?

So i listed a cpap machine on ebay. Apparently they don't allow you to sell these and my add(all 4 different ones) was removed with in a couple of hours.... I had one guy place a bid during that time. He's now sent me a message and wants me to invoice him for $250 and he will send a payment through paypal and I'll send him the cpap. I only paid $50 so I'm happy with that deal but it scares me to do a transaction outside of eBay. Is there a safer way to do this? I dont want to have him charge back the funds.

PayPal is very safe.

If you use PayPal then send him via his email address an invoice or a request for money. Have on the memo space what this transaction is for. PayPal will deduct a small amount for this service. They are a very secure business. I use them for Thousands of Dollars worth in transactions. Make sure you describe exactly what your selling him and also put in the memo no returns. Keep pictures and get Insurance for shipping to him.

Yes, I agree with Butch. I have made many non ebay transactions through paypal only and never had a problem, both as a seller and a buyer. Just abide by the buyer protection rules and you won't have any problems- https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#11
