I live on a dead end dirt road in a private subdivision. We were going out the door today about 12:30 pm and we heard a vehicle flying down the road. It stopped in front of my driveway. It was Fedex and I thought cool I'm getting a delivery. Then the driver threw it into reverse and floored it! Spun the road up and took off! So we found him at the neighbors house making a delivery and had a very LOUD verbal yelling match. It ended with me taking his truck number and I called Fedex and lodged a complaint. I did request a call back from a driver manager.
Here's a quick picture of the mark in the road...

My truck has one of the "how is my driving" stickers, you know, with the truck# and 800 phone#?
I hate that sticker.

Should have shot him and used the TEXAS defense. Showing it to him and it just went off. Didn't know it was loaded...

The FedEx supervisor called and left a message for me while we had the kids bowling. Inside the metal building I had no signal, he said he would call me back on Monday. Hopefully he clamps down on this driver. This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. Almost like a scene from a movie! Lol! I'm just glad my Pomeranian was not laying out in the road when this guy came through...

Seems like a bit of an overreaction.

If I hadn't just Friday night written out a check for $500.00 for annual road maintenance and then to have this happen on Saturday morning I would probably agree with you. Not to mention I have my son and two dogs who don't deserve to be run over by reckless driving. We have a 15 mph speed limit on our road and that is fast enough. This guy was completely out of control, I would expect this kind of driving from a 16 year old kid...not a FedEx driver.

I wonder if it is the same fed-x driver that blew a STOP sign right in front of me a few month ago. didn't even slow down.

Amazing isn't it?! After talking it over with someone here in town it seems this same driver has been doing this route for a while and has been complained about many, many times...it's high time something is done about this driver...

I've talked with drivers before. They are under a lot of pressure from the company to hurry up, but then they are left high and dry when they get tickets. The routes they are given are basically impossible to run in the times expected unless they speed. But yeh, given that there is some history with this particular driver, that makes sense. Doesn't look like the area he peeled out on had any rock on it at all, so I'd be pissed about the maintenance too. :(

My sons birthday package from Ohio was opened. The money, gift cards, and electronics were stolen. The candy was busted all over the box, and a large kitchen knife was sealed up in the box. Fed Ex told me to eat a dork. I ship us postal now.

I wonder how much screening FedEx gives potential drivers before hiring them? Seems like an easily corrected issue if FedEx was more realistic with their policy?

Yeah that's really awful!!! I sure don't blame you for going ups after that. The knife is just insult to injury.

After 3 non-successful attempts at getting a delivery from Fed-Ex that I desperately needed, and several discussions with the "supervisor", he finally told me that the truck was in the area, but couldn't tell me where. So when I finally tracked him down, you think he would be relieved to get that package off his truck...but nooooo...he was thoroughly rude and then told me he almost had to pepper-spray my dog....WHAT!!!??...I asked him..."you mean the 14 year old cocker spaniel who can barely walk?"...no answer...just looked at me all slack-jawed...jeeshh..really...

I am pretty sure they sell routes. Then you hire drivers or do it yourself. Might not be 100% accurate info, but that is what I heard.
