"WOW" FOUND A PISTOL AND OTHER NEAT RELICS
Went out with my DAD this evening to an old home site, which the only thing remaining is a few corner stones. We started getting beeps on the outside of the house boundaries, dug around, and must have found where the tools were kept, found 2 axe heads, a stake, wood splitter, and some odd and end metals. I went over the hill from the house about 30 feet, and started getting some more all metal tones. Started digging, found the old Lock, an old horse shoe, and some buckles and a chain. We were getting pretty excited, so kept searching, and we found the last hot spot. We had several beeps, and dug up the two older spoons, which are inscribed " HT MFG Co A1 on both spoons. We had another solid beep, started digging, and found the pistol. I couldn't believe it!!! I know it's old, because no one has lived at this area in over 90 years, probably more. I don't know if it is loaded, it is in bad shape, but definitely a revolver, breakdown model, and had to have wooden grips. How would I try and save this, it is so rusty, but so awesome. Had a great day with my DAD, and found some cool things. Oh, also found an old harmonica, but the wood broke apart, and all that was left was the metal part.
