I just got a GT recently as well...and I sold one of the elites. So now I have a back-up and main detector although there isn't A LOT of difference between them(except price)...still trying to get a reasonable 8" coil (that is: a used one under $199)if I can get that one coil my arsenal will be complete! HH
I think so.

Seems like we are like-minded :) Always good to have a backup machine, jic. So I also bought a brand new SOV GT, as the backup, but haven't even taken it out of the box yet. Don't know if I should, or leave it factory new, in case I decide Sov is not my goto detector. I have an E-Trac, that I think is more to my liking, but I do mostof my hunting on the wet sand/surf's edge beaches. Have to learn how the Sov speaks to me.

Both are nice! Not sure if I will ever try an e-trac or not, might just go with a CTX 3030 when they have been out for a while: a good used one :laughing7:
