WW II tent site ! Quad dimes

MaineRelic · Jul 27, 2014

I was up north for my family reunion this weekend ! This is up where I found the capped bust quarter last weekend ! My son nad I both had our detectors but we never got a chance to sneak away and try our luck ! It was killing me ! I did get home in time to unpack and get out for a 2 1/2 hour hunt at the WW II tent site field . I was anxious to escape into the headphones after the busy but very fun weekend ! Hit four silvers A 1901 Barber that was up against a piece of iron , a 1927 D Merc , and a 1952 and 52 D Rosies ! and a few wheaties It felt good as I was Jone's ing for a swing ! ! Thanks for looking and happy treasure hunting to all ! MaineRelic !

Do you know what they used the tent site for before and after WWII? Those are some nice finds!

OH Yeah ! Really nice day out you had there ! What was that tent site - a training camp (boot camp) ?

Yes training . Or just housing new recruits , a friend of mine lives on the now soccer field ! His Neighbor had a pic of the field during WWII . The field was completely filled with army tents !

Dime trifecta.... very nice. I would so love to find more than one silver on a hunt. I find silvers, but one at the time. GL&HH!

I go through the same spells ! One or none at a time ! I have a decent site to hunt right now though ! Your multiples will come if you just keep swinging MR
