WWII Weapon or Crusty Paperweight

Hey all, first post here. I found this today and was curious what it may be. Not a lot to go on here since it's so far gone, but given what appears to be an operating rod I though there's a chance it's a firearm. For what it's worth it was found in Guam.

Hard to say one way or another. We would need additional pics from various angles and something to help show the size of the relic. Nothing indicates weapon to my eye, but it could be military related.
